What is Counseling (and what it isn't?)

Counseling is accessible talk therapy for those who feel stuck, are experiencing stress or loss, are looking for direction, or are dealing with life’s bigger questions. You don’t have to be “broken” to benefit from it.

In counseling, we explore what’s going on beneath the surface: what leads to you feeling stuck? What drives you in daily life? Counseling goes deeper than coaching. It’s a process in which you take the lead — not a theory, an approach, or a coach. You discover the origin of your patterns and find your own answers to restore mental, emotional, and spiritual balance.

Coaching is one component (phase 3) of the counseling process. The focus then shifts to the future: how do you want to move forward, what direction suits you, and what steps can you take? Where needed, you receive practical tools to help you reach your goals.

My approach

In 3 phases toward peace, direction, and lasting change:

Phase 1: Clarify

Clarify. We explore what’s going on and where the tension lies. You gain insight into patterns, beliefs, and dynamics. This awareness alone often brings peace and space.

Phase 2: Define a new direction

We look at what matters to you. Who do you want to be? What do you want to do differently? What can grow or be let go? Together we formulate goals and set priorities that align with your desires and values.

Phase 3: Integrate into daily life

Integrate into daily life. You put new insights into practice step by step. This way, change becomes not something you long for, but something you set in motion and embody.

A powerful approach that connects head, heart, and hands

In my work, I combine 2 perspectives:

Western humanistic psychology, with its clarifying structure and practical methods, placing you as a person and your personal growth at the center.

Buddhist wisdom, which teaches you to look at yourself with gentleness, compassion, and (self-)awareness.

Together they form a balanced approach that leads to self-insight, resilience, connection, and lasting change

Conversations, writing and reflection exercises, meditation, and awareness practices help you reconnect with yourself. With depth and warmth, but without losing touch with the ground beneath your feet.

Sessions last 60 minutes and take place online via Google Meet.

How many sessions you need depends on your question and needs.

I recommend a minimum of 5 sessions for lasting change. The first three are scheduled weekly, after that by mutual agreement.

Rates: Single session – €60

Package of 5 sessions – €285 (save €15)

Package of 10 sessions – €575 (save €25)

Package of 15 sessions – €870 (save €30)
